The Cure. Edinburgh. Once In A Generation.

This will only be the third time The Cure have played in Scotland since 1992. Let that sink in. On Sunday 23rd August 2026, Robert Smith and the band headline the Royal Highland Showgrounds for Edinburgh Summer Sessions, and if you miss it, you might genuinely be waiting another decade for the next chance.
Fresh off the acclaimed "Songs Of A Lost World" and its reimagined companion "Mixes Of A Lost World", The Cure arrive at a genuine creative peak, not a nostalgia lap. Expect the widescreen menace of the new material sitting right alongside euphoric singalongs like "Just Like Heaven", "Lovecats" and "Boys Don't Cry" — a set built to move between shadow and light like no other band on earth can manage.
The support bill is a dream in itself: Scottish icons Mogwai open, shoegaze legends Slowdive follow, and rising stars Just Mustard complete a lineup that spans generations of alternative sound. Get there early — this is not a night to arrive fashionably late.
This is a proper outdoor headline show, full production, no festival time-slot squeezing them in — just The Cure, doing exactly what they do best, under an Edinburgh summer sky. Tickets have already moved fast given how rare Scottish dates from this band are, so don't sit on this one.
